In March, Sarah participated alongside actress Meryl Streep in marking the fifteenth anniversary of the Platform for Action, Equality Now's Beijing + 15 campaign. Sarah Performs for "The Nation" Gala
In December, Sarah performed for The Nation Gala entertaining an audience of progressives from Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky to author Walter Mosely and film directors Jonathan Demme and Oliver Stone.
Sarah Celebrates CEDAW 30th Anniversary at the United Nations
This past December, Sarah brought a few of the characters of her Equality Now-commissioned piece Women Can't Wait to the United Nations for the 30th Anniversary of the historic "women's bill of rights", CEDAW. She performed the short piece, which can be heard here, for an audience including Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon and High Commissioner for Human Rights Navinathem Pillay.
Sarah Runs NYC Marathon
This past November, Sarah ran her third marathon, this time in support of
Shoe4Africa raising money for a children's hospital in Kenya. Sarah got to cross the finish line (in a personal best time of 3:54:02) hand in hand with marathon champions Tegla Loroupe and Toby Tanser (founder of S4A). Sarah performs at White House
On March 19th, Sarah performed at The White House as part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s celebration of Women’s History Month. After spending the day discussing their careers with local high school students, twenty-one women from the fields of science, sports, entertainment, and government gathered for a dinner in the East Room to hear Sheryl Crow, Alicia Keys, and Sarah share their unique talents. Best of all, First Daughters Malia and Sasha weren’t the only young people in attendance; a group of outstanding high school girls from the D.C. metro area were also part of this historic evening.

In February, Sarah joined distinguished speakers, including Bill Gates and Elizabeth Gilbert, as one of the main stage presenters at the TED conference in Long Beach, California. Or maybe Sarah and her characters were several of the speakers at the world renowned conference...
UNICEF Press Release
As UNICEF names spokesperson on child violence, UN report offers signs of hope An update presented to the UN General Assembly today shows that progress is being made towards eradicating some of the worst forms of violence against children. The report comes just as UNICEF has appointed Tony Award-winning actress Sarah Jones as its first Spokesperson on Violence against Children.

Love, Loss and What I Wore
In March, Sarah performed alongside Susie Essman, Kristen Wiig and others at a benefit reading of Nora and Delia Ephron’s play “Love, Loss and What I Wore”, with proceeds benefitting “Dress for Success”. In anticipation of the fall Off-Broadway run of “Love, Loss”, Nora edited the October issue of Elle Magazine which features many of the performers’ own stories on the same theme, including Sarah’s tale of her favorite cut-off shorts…
Under My Hat
Sarah is excited to be joining friend and fellow Tony Award winner Glenn Close in a special benefit performance for Fountain House, an organization that helps people living with the challenges of severe mental illness. Together Sarah and Glenn have created a performance piece entitled “Under My Hat” that tackles relevant themes for Fountain House’s benefit September 29.
